Foliage

“Foliage”

Trees bare and brown
The ring of death draws near
Crystalizing in all its beauty
Gracefully blanketing the earth
Preserving the life that is to come

Dewey droplets fade away
Warmth envelops inhabitants
Buzzing, chirping, mowing, cracking
Life regains strength and blossoms

Fireflies, crickets & moths
Bonfires, baseball and the beach
Conversing, laughing, singing
Breezes grace our shoulders
Like a hug from God

Chills in the air, crisp and sweet
Sew seeds, plough the land
Rust, gold, ruby and green
Festivals, hunting and parades

Celebrate thanks and enjoy family
Change will soon come
Withdraw to your haven
The ring of death draws near
